CALL for REGISTRATION to IV CCBCOL & VIII IC-SoIBio 2017 & associated PAPERS to “BMC Genomics”

ALL registered participants in the congress IV CCBCOL & VIII IC-SoIBio (September 2017 Cali, Colombia) who would like to publish a research paper should submit their proposal as indicated below.

A selection of 10 full articles will be done to be published in the journal BMC Genomics, according to the following conditions and dates:

1.– From 1.August to 10.September. ARTICLE PROPOSAL — Sending by the authors of a PROPOSED ARTICLE (i.e. a DRAFT of 4-5 pages in a .DOC including these sections: TITLE, AUTHORS, ABSTRACT [200-300 words] , RESULTS [1000-1500 words with Figures 1 or 2], Clear Description of MAIN CONTRIBUTION [200 words], MAIN REFERENCES).

2.– From 11.September to 25.September. ARTICLE PRE-SELECTION — Pre-selection and ADMISSION or NOT of the article proposed to be submitted as a full paper to BMC Genomics.

3.– From 26.September to 30.October. FULL PAPER SUBMISSION — Time for the authors for preparation and submission of the FULL PAPER following the regular format asked by BMC Genomics (see Submission Guidelines)

4.– From 31.October to 10.December. PEER REVIEW — Time for full review of each submitted article by at least two independent reviewers. The revision of the papers will be managed by the Special Editors assigned to this BMC Genomics Supplement. At the end of this process, the Editors will indicate to the authors which are the final ACCEPTED ARTICLES. (Written reviews and answers will be needed along all this process).

5.– From 11.December to 31.December. SUBMISSION FOR PUBLICATION — Submission the final article, revised and corrected. The manuscripts should be prepared for publication following BMC Genomics Submission Guidelines. Once received by the journal, the editorial office from BMC will need about 8 weeks to get the final edition and publication on-line. AT THIS POINT (i.e. in January 2018), the authors of each article (or their institutions) should pay to BMC Genomics the “Article-Processing Charges” that will be: 1122 GBP, British Pounds (i.e. about 1460 USD). This price represents a 20% reduction on the normal price of an article in BMC Genomics. BMC editorial office will provide a formal INVOICE to the authors of each article.
